Red knit hats were a symbol of resistance to the Nazi occupation of Norway until they were outlawed on February 26, 1942. They’ve recently resurfaced in Minnesota & we’re paying our respects to the fine citizens of that state on Thursday, 2/26, with a sip and knit. Join Muriel’s of Vermont and Blue Heron Farm - bring your needles, crochet hooks and any project you’re working on. Muriel’s will provide red yarn and hat patterns. The completed hats will be sold with all proceeds going to Vermont based Migrant Justice.
