Light in the Night | Solstice Celebration

  • Kraemer & Kin 3517 US-2 North Hero, VT, 05474 United States (map)

Winter solstice is the shortest day of the year! In the Champlain Islands we whittle down to 8:49 hours of daylight. This is a cornerstone marker of winter season and the day our shift back to the slow swing toward summer begins. LET'S CELEBRATE together this solstice eve.

SATURDAY | 12/20/25 | 5pm-8pm | Solstice EVE!
5:00pm - the fire will be going and join us anytime to write and burn paper grievances.

6:00pm - burning of grievances
ready to let go of what isn’t serving you & step into a new year?
we will be writing down negative feelings, fears, habits that might be holding you back on paper, folding and then burning them to release those unwanted grievances. We write. We burn. We release. It may sound heavy but it is actually quite liberating and please keep in mind, grievances are kept to oneself, there is no public verbal sharing of said grievances.

6:30pm - ringing of the bells
bring your jingles & together we make a symphony of bells. any kind of bell will do; we ring them in unison to ward off unwanted negative energy & invite positivity and abundance for the year ahead.

7:00pm - toasting of the wassail
A collective word & a tasty sip to honor community and each of us stepping towards the new year.
